Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is no doubt, one of the most well known and widely read books in the world. The great Andrew Carnegie commissioned Napoleon Hill to interview the nation’s most successful men to find a success formula that would work for the common man. It took Napoleon twenty years to do that job but after interviewing 504 people including two US presidents he found the formula he was looking for.

Mr. Hill mentions throughout his book that some know the secret and some don’t. The secret truly is found in his 13-part formula to success. This book is in my opinion the basis for most self-help material out there. The one line I will always remember is, “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve.”

Every time I read this book (I’ve read it 4 or 5 times now) I come away with something new. The stories maybe dated, the men behind the ideas long gone but the knowledge can be passed on for generations. If I was to only recommend one book this year, I believe this would be it.
