Getting Things Done (GTD) is a book on the life management system of the same name designed by David Allen. The system is designed to organize as much of your life as possible and take concerns and objectives out of your mind and onto paper or the computer depending on which suits your needs better. Truth be told the system is very customizable to fit your lifestyle.
If your life is hectic and in need of some organization this is possibly the starting point for you. By implementing many of the “rules” of GTD you will start to feel more relaxed as your mind will not constantly be wondering if you have forgotten anything or about the current project you are working on. The main objective is to get things off of your mind and into a system which will help you stay organized and get things done. This will in turn remove much of the stress we all feel in everyday life.
In reality implementing this entire system as outlined in the book would be rare but using many of the ideas described I feel anyone could benefit from reading this book.
